An army of 2…jackasses

The dogs playfight all the time and I watch them and I watch how their strategies change. Ghengis has always been a bit of a dirty fighter but Maddie is bigger and stronger. He never gives up, though, even when Maddie has him by the neck and he’s pinned to the floor and she holds him there forever. The second she lets up he’s bounding at her for more. Crazy dogs.
Maddie’s seperation anxiety is easing up but the bark monitor and the pheromones are still needed to keep her in the zone.
I need to get the dogs microchipped this week. There is no way to express the distress I feel in my gut watching those poor abandoned animals in New Orleans and the surrounding area. I look at my two members of the dork patrol and I know it would kill me to ever have to leave them behind in a situation like that. If it ever does happen, I have to think that having them microchipped will help a little in getting them back.
In other, boring, dog related news, Ghengis has a play date tonight. I am the queen of getting people at work to adopt dogs from Petfinder and tonight Ghengis gets to go meet Mary’s dog, Fletch. Excitement central. Some people make playdates with their kids, freaky dog ladies make play dates with their dogs.
I’m crazy. You knew that, though, didn’t you.
I’m in the mood for salmon. I’ll have to get some, grill it up.
Also, have a great idea for the last weekend in October! Exciting? Yes! but don’t tell David, it’s a secret.
